Old Guy 1

In yet another fit of observation trivia, I noted today that some ‘old guy’ (really old guy) parked in the fire lane at the gym this morning. Now this old guy just pulled right on up in his little black truck, parked right in front of the door, came on in and left his two little doggies sitting in the cab. Oh, by the way, I also noticed that his right brake light was out (details, details and more trivial details).

This little old guy came in, climbed up on a treadmill and just started walking. Now my feelings toward him grew more and more anxious as I finished my run. I kept thinking what a putz, cant figure how to park his truck and how inconsiderate he was to the rest of us that have to park between the white lines. All I wanted to do was tell him off, tell him how unsafe and thoughtless he was for parking in the fire lane. Of course I never said a word; just thought poorly of the man.

What I failed to notice is that he was old, really old; he was doing something for his own good health (walking) and probably just wanted to keep an eye on his doggies. I should have at least told him that his brake light was out.

Miscellaneous ramblings on the 1st day of the new year.
